Qabbani chairs a meeting with Imams and Mosque Preachers

Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani held a meeting on Thursday with Imams and Mosque Preachers, in the presence of Secretary of Dar El Fatwa Sheikh Amin Kurdi and General Director of the Islamic Waqf Sheikh Hisham Khalifa.

The meeting discussed means to boost the message of the mosque and the role it plays in people’s lives, families and communities.

Mufti Qabbani highlighted during the meeting the role that clerics play in appealing to the people through their sermons, reminding them to respect the moral values and principles called for by the Islam religion.

Clerics also discussed the unification of Friday’s sermon theme according to an agreed upon timetable, touching on divisive daily life issues, especially the high cost of living.
