Sleiman continues discussions, receives Future's decision to boycott dialogue

President Michel Sleiman signed on Tuesday the decree related to the assassination of Brig. Gen. Wissam Hassan. The decree will be referred to the Judicial Council.

Earlier, head of Future bloc Fouad Siniora informed on Tuesday President Michel Sleiman of the bloc's final decision to boycott dialogue sessions.

Sleiman had met earlier with Siniora at the Baabda Palace, as sources close to Siniora told LBCI that consultations between March14 forces regarding the national dialogue are ongoing to reach consensus.

President Sleiman offered Siniora the advancement of the national dialogue date, but Siniora reacted unfavorably regarding this matter.

Minister of Public Health Ali Hassan Khalil also met Sleiman on behalf of Speaker Nabih Berri as part of the discussions carried out by the President.

Within this framework, Minister of Defense Fayez Ghosn arrived at the Baabda Palace to meet with the President.

Later in the day, president Sleiman stated that the LAF is legitimately proving throughout all institutions its role as a safeguard to all the Lebanese.
