Foreign Ministry denies news about diplomatic appointments

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied on Tuesday what was published in the newspapers about the appointments of Lebanese ambassadors, stressing that some of the publications' contents  are completely unfounded.

The ministry added that diplomatic regulations are very clear concerning the consultations with concerned countries, with the regards to the appointment made by the Lebanese cabinet.

Several Lebanese dailies had published reports stating that the appointments' list was semi-complete, even revealing some names of  potential ambassadors.Minister Adnan Mansour was even quoted as saying that the list would be discussed in cabinet.
