Patriarch Rai hopes Aoun-Hariri meeting on Monday would result in Cabinet formation

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai presided on Sunday over the mass at Bkerke.

In his sermon, Rai voiced hopes that the meeting between President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri would result in the formation of a rescue government of specialists.

“The formation of a new government for Lebanon does not take more than 24 hours,” he added.

“Unless if some sides want to load the next government with regional conflicts, the game of nations, the race for the presidency, the change of regime, and taking control of power in the country, then this method will increase the disagreement between the people and the authority and will lead to a chaos that will not have mercy on anyone," Rai stressed.
