The German vessel that will be in charge of shipping hazardous materials out of Lebanon arrived on Tuesday to the Port of Beirut.
The ship is now awaiting the completion of the necessary procedures taken by the Ministries of Environment and Public Works and Transport to load the containers of the hazardous materials that were previously treated by a German company on berth 16 at the Port of Beirut. In the past months, a German company had worked on treating tons of dangerous acidic substances at the Port of Beirut in order to prepare for their shipment and disposal in Germany.
