Pope Francis reiterates prayers that spirit of wisdom supports Aoun and his assistants

Holy Father Pope Francis reiterated on Thursday his prayers that "the spirit of wisdom supports the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun and his assistants illuminating for them the ways to lead Lebanon on the paths of peace, freedom and happiness."

Pope Francis' words came through a letter he sent to the President of the Republic following the latter's message sent previously on the occasion of the Resurrection.

In his letter, Pope Francis said that "evil and death cannot have the final word on the path of life."

"Believing in resurrection puts the power of conversion in our hearts in order to build a better world", he added.

Pope Francis also emphasized his full solidarity with the "beloved" Lebanon, entrusting it to the care of Virgin Mary and seizing the occasion to bestow his apostolic blessings to all the Lebanese people.
