Are the Lebanese welcoming or fearing wage raise?
The Lebanese welcomed the decision to adjust wages without hiding their fears from a soar in prices that may accompany this move.

For example Abu Omar measures the livelihood crisis by the quantity of fruits that he sells on his ambulant cart and his projections for the upcoming period do not herald any positive signs.

Citizens complain about the increase in prices that preceded the wage raise, they are also concerned about a possible inflation if the cabinet goes through with this move.

The Lebanese are not really interested in the popular protests or the possibility of an open strike, rather they prefer to protest the absence of price control which is the main obstacle preventing them from buying a house, sending their children to good schools  or even meeting their basic daily needs.
