A number of protesters in the Jabal Mohsen neighborhood in the northern city of Tripoli cut off on Friday the road to protest the high cost of living due to the increase in the US dollar exchange rate and the deteriorating economic situation.
This as an army patrol scuffled with the protesters while trying to reopen the road.
The army then fired in the air in order to disperse the protesters.
