Shooting in Akkar injures one person

An unknown man fired on Sunday shots from a rifle near the al-Kawashra lake in the norther district of Akkar.

Reasons behind his motives are yet to be known.

The man, who was accompanied by two women, then fired shots towards a Lebanese army Intelligence Branch patrol that rushed to the scene to arrest him, injuring one of its members.

The soldier was transported to the al-Salam hospital in the Akkar town of Qobeiyat, while investigations are still ongoing to arrest the shooter.
