Jumblatt calls for two state solution to end Israeli-Arab conflict

National Struggle Front leader, MP Walid Jumblatt, said Monday that the Palestinian people would  eventually triumph "because they are demanding their legitimate right to settlements' moratorium and to establish a viable independent state," the NNA reported.

He saw that the Israeli-Arab decades-aged conflict would only end on the basis of the two-state solution. "This requires a political miracle or a serious interference by the superpower countries, especially that former unfinished solutions--such as Oslo Accord--proved their sterility," Jumblatt told the Progressive Socialist Party's weekly publication, Al-Anbaa.

Turning to Lebanon, Jumblatt requested that the President Michel Sleiman's call for dialogue be heeded.
