Large number of dead fish in fishermen’s port in Sidon

A large number of dead fish appeared on Friday in the fishermen’s port of Sidon due to the pollution of sea water by sewage.

However, Environmental Prosecutor in the South Judge Rahif Ramadan assigned the southern beaches detachment to the Internal Security Forces to open an investigation into fish deaths case.

He also asked the beach detachment to communicate with the National Center for Marine Sciences to assign an expert to take samples from the dead fish for examination, in order to determine the true cause behind their death.
