Lebanese soldier killed in Israeli strike in south Lebanon

The Lebanese army announced the death of soldier Hussein Ahmad Sultan, who was killed on April 29, 2026, in an Israeli strike targeting the area of Kherbet Selem.

According to an official statement, Sultan was born on May 1, 1996, in Souaneh. He had received multiple commendations from the army commander in recognition of his service.

He is survived by his wife and one child. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.
