US ambassador Shea inaugurates American Corner Tripoli

US Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea has attended on November 15 the inauguration of the American Corner Tripoli in partnership with the Safadi Foundation.

"This American Space at the Safadi Foundation Center will work on empowering youth, women, and professionals through capacity building, cultural, and educational programs" the U.S. Embassy said in a statement.

The statement also noted that participants will engage in a wide array of programming ranging from media literacy, civic engagement, economics, sustainment and employability skills.

“The United States wants to see the people of Lebanon prosper, and initiatives like the American Corner Tripoli offer the knowledge and skills necessary for the people of North Lebanon to bolster your economies, support your neighbors in need and impact your communities,” the statement concluded by saying.
