Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation warns operators against negligence

Director General of the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation Jean Gibran highlighted on Sunday the need not to delay the implementation of projects related to the corporation.

He alluded to the corporation’s difficulties as a result of the failure of several operators in carrying out their tasks, noting that “they made profits and developed their own businesses because they were undertaking projects.”

He further stated that if they continue to act the same, the corporation will implement projects in agreement with new operators.

“People’s interest is above all regard, and continuity of the corporation’s services is a national responsibility” Gibran stressed, and continued by saying that “concerned operators, as well as heads of departments who are not dealing well with them, will bear responsibility for not completing projects they are required to implement."
