President Aoun calls on citizens and residents to receive vaccine
President Michel Aoun reviewed on Monday the reports he received about the measures taken on New Year's Eve and the incidents that were recorded.

He praised the military and security forces, the Civil Defense, the fire brigades and the Lebanese Red Cross, for their readiness, which helped to keep the number of accidents to a minimum.

Aoun further stated that those who fired celebratory bullets on New Year's Eve must be prosecuted and necessary actions must be taken against them in order to prevent a repeat of this phenomena that generates concern among the public and damages lives and property.

President Aoun, on the other hand, received a series of reports about the spread of Coronavirus and its variants after the number of cases surged dramatically, particularly among the unvaccinated.

He urged all citizens and residents who have not yet obtained the vaccine to do so in hospitals and health institutions as soon as possible.
