Mikati: We put our hands in army's hands and do everything to help it get through this difficult time

Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Tuesday that the Lebanese army's determination to carry out its responsibilities in maintaining security, stability, and peace in Lebanon, despite the difficult financial and social conditions that the military institution, like all Lebanese, is facing, demonstrates that the army's servicemen's national loyalty is the foundation.

“This is what constitutes a guarantee that the country would remain well no matter what difficulties it faces,” he added after meeting with Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Joseph Aoun.

"We put our hands in the army's hands, support the actions it's doing, and do everything we can to help it get through this difficult time," Mikati said.

He then met with Governor of Beirut Judge Marwan Abboud and Mayor of Beirut Jamal Itani, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Judge Mahmoud Makhieh, to discuss the affairs of the capital.
