Sisi welcomes Mikati, reiterates support for Lebanon

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi affirmed on Monday total solidarity with Lebanon, especially in the hardship it is going through, expressing Egypt's readiness to contribute to the delivery of gas in accordance with the signed treaties, and gave directives to "facilitate the issue and expedite its implementation."

The Egyptian president's words came during his meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati at his residence in Sharm El-Sheikh, after the opening session of the "World Youth Forum" hosted by Egypt, where the Lebanese delegation, which included Minister of Youth and Sports George Kallas, and the Lebanese ambassador to Egypt Ali Al-Halabi participated.

Al-Sisi said: "Lebanon is in my heart personally and in Egypt's mind."

As for PM Mikati, he stressed the role of Egypt and thanked it for supporting Lebanon during these tough times.

In turn, Minister Kallas underlined the peace dialogue launched by President al-Sisi in his opening speech at the forum, and conveyed to him the greetings and love of the Lebanese youth.
