A meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati just started on Tuesday in the Presidential Palace in Ankara.
President Erdogan and PM Mikati will hold a bilateral meeting, which will be followed by an expanded discussion with the participation of the Lebanese and Turkish delegations, a joint news conference for the two officials, and a honorable dinner hosted by President Erdogan.
During the bilateral meeting, Lebanese ministers met with their Turkish counterparts in different meeting rooms in the Presidential Palace.
The Lebanese delegation was formed of Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, Administrative Development Minister Najla Riachi, Tourism Minister Walid Nassar, Energy Minister Walid Fayyad, Environment Minister Nasser Yassin, Agriculture Minister Abbas al-Hajj Hassan, Public Works and Transport Minister Ali Hamieh, Economy Minister Amin Salam, PM Mikati's Diplomatic Advisor Ambassador Boutros Assaker and finally Lebanon's Ambassador to Turkey Ghassan al-Moallem.
As for the Turkish delegation, it was formed of Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlüt ÇAVUŞOĞLU, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri ERSOY, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir PAKDEMİRLİ, Energy and Natural Minister Resources Fatih DÖNMEZ, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat KURUM, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil KARAİSMAİLOĞLU and finally Head of Digital Transformation Office of the Presidency of Turkey Ali Taha KOÇ.
The first stop of PM Mikati in Ankara was the resting place of ATATURK, Founder of the Turkish Republic.
