Employees at St Georges hospital in Ajaltoun start open-ended strike-[PHOTOS]
The medical staff and employees at Saint Georges Hospital issued on Monday a statement in which they indicated that “the hospital has been suffering from financial issues and a loss of medical supplies and equipment for years,” but that “despite all of this, the staff continued to perform its moral and humanitarian duty with dedication and sincerity.”

They went on to say that “since the economic situation in Lebanon has deteriorated, in addition to the fuel crisis, it has become impossible for employees who are still paid at the exchange rate of 1500 to continue working.”

Accordingly, they announced that they will go on an open-ended strike until their demands are met.
