Rai meets Qatari ambassador to Lebanon

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai met on Wednesday with Qatari ambassador to Lebanon Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi accompanied by the Charge d’Affaires Ali al- Mutawa in the presence of Monseigneur Elie Madi.

This as Rai held a meeting also with head of the Lebanese University Bassam Badran who was heading a delegation formed the university’s deans.

The delegation explained to the Patriarch the importance of supporting the university in terms of strengthening its operational budget and approving the decrees and decisions pending in the Council of Ministers, in order to preserve its leading position in the higher education.
