Judge Saqr receives Mamlouk’s full information, refers it to Abu Ghaida

Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr received on Wednesday from the ISF’s Intelligence Bureau a letter containing all information pertaining to the identity of Syrian Major General Ali Mamlouk, including his mother’s name.

Mamlouk is accused of being involved in Former Minister Michel Samaha’s bomb plot.

Saqr referred the letter to the Military Investigative Judge Riad Abu Ghaida who is in charge of this case.

Samaha, was arrested on Thursday 9th of August by the Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch on suspicion of involvement in a plot to carry out terrorist attacks in Lebanon in collaboration with Syria.

He was charged on Aug. 11 alongside Syrian National Security Bureau head Ali Mamlouk and a Syrian army officer identified as Brig. Gen. Adnan with plotting to assassinate political and religious figures in Lebanon and carrying out terrorist attacks by the the government’s deputy commissioner at the Military Tribunal.
