Foreign Ministry denounces storming courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque

The police and Israeli settlers storming the al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday was denounced by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.

The attack was described as "a serious violation of international law, the historical and legal situation in the city of Jerusalem and places of worship, and a major provocation to all Muslims."

According to the ministry, such an act undermines international legitimacy and stability and endangers global peace and security.

In its statement, the ministry reiterated its call for an end to these ongoing violations, which coincide with the unjustified aggression against the Gaza Strip.
