Abboud launches tourism season from Sidon

Minister of Tourism, Fadi Abboud, on Friday launched the festive season from the southern city of Sidon, in a press conference at Saida Rest House, in presence of South Lebanon Governor Nicolas Abu Daher, ISF South Commander General Tarek Abdallah, and Mohammad Qoborsli from Sidon municipal council.

"Sidon is a symbol of coexistence and a model of tourism, trade, and economy. I chose to launch the festive season from Sidon to confirm that all the Lebanese regions are fully ready to welcome the holidays, tourists, and expatriates," the Minister said.

Abboud underscored that it was necessary to create a positive ambiance in the country away from political tensions and politicization.

"This is why we launched the 50% discount campaign for 50 days, as of January 8 till February 28," he noted.

The discounts include the prices of travel tickets, hotels, car rentals, restaurants and shopping.
