UNHCR: More than 164,000 displaced Syrians in Lebanon

The weekly report issued by the United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees (UNHCR) stated that more than 64 thousand displaced Syrians are receiving protection and assistance from the Lebanese government, the United Nations and various non-governmental organizations in Lebanon.

The report added that among the displaced 122 thousand registered at the UNHCR while other 42 thousand are waiting for their turn to get registered.

It is worth noting that registration centers in each of Tripoli, Beirut, Bekaa, and South Lebanon are registering each day around 1500 refugees.

The report added that the majority of the displaced are coming from Aleppo, Damascus and Homs.
