Caretaker PM Mikati meets with French ambassador Grillo

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Monday morning with French ambassador to Lebanon Anne Grillo at the Grand Serail.

Following the meeting, Grillo said talks tackled the final touches of the border demarcation agreement, the economic and financial situations, the urgent need to implement reforms, and the need to move forward with an International Monetary Fund agreement.

She also noted that discussions were held on the upcoming constitutional entitlements “that ensure the proper functioning of institutions.”

Answering a question about French-Saudi consultations to elect a new president in Lebanon, Grillo noted that “there is a dialogue between France the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a wide range of issues."
