More details about Hochstein’s visit to Lebanon and Israel

US mediator Amos Hochstein will visit Lebanon on Wednesday to finalize the historic agreement to establish a permanent maritime border between Lebanon and Israel.

Hochstein will meet in Beirut with President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati to express his gratitude to each of them for the consultation and openness during the negotiations.

Hochstein will also pay a visit to southern Naqoura.

Furthermore, the parties will provide maritime coordinates to the United Nations in the presence of the United States.

Hochstein will then travel to Israel, where he will meet with Prime Minister Yair Lapid and thank him and his team for their persistent and principled diplomacy to find a solution to this sensitive issue.
