Patriarch Rai: Purification of consciences is main condition for fruitful dialogue
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Monday that a sincere and fruitful dialogue between Christians and Muslims on one hand, and between political parties and parliamentary blocs on the other, is contingent on the purification of consciences.
 
“I wish they had heard His Holiness Pope Francis's call yesterday because Lebanon is in the most perilous period of its political and economic history,” Rai said during a meeting for the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops of Lebanon.
