Minister Abou Faour meets US Ambassador Connelly

Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour met on Wednesday with the US Ambassador to Lebanon, Maura Connelly and discussed with her recent developments on the Lebanese field.

In this context, the Ambassador praised Lebanon's commitment aiding the Syrian refugees and said that the US has provided so far approximately USD 210 Million to aid those who are inside Syria and others who fled to neighboring countries.

She underscored the United States' hope that the Kuwait conference will generate much needed contributions for the United Nations' appeals for Syrian refugees in Syria and the region, including Lebanon.
