REPORT: Storm Olga’s repercussions continue

Storm Olga’s repercussions continue with cracks and landslides occurring in the town of Shweit, Baalbeck.

Although these incidents are nothing new to the area stretching between Aley and Baalbeck, it seems that the storm has led to the further deterioration of the soil which supports the land structures erected throughout the area.

Meanwhile, in South Lebanon and specifically in the city of Tyre, greenhouse, citrus and banana plantation farmers continue to suffer the losses caused by the storm damages, prompting them to ask concerned authorities for compensations.

This report will examine the storm’s trail of damage from Lebanon’s Bekaa to its South in detail.
