REPORT: French Embassy in Lebanon honors Lebanese diva Majida Roumi

The French embassy in Lebanon named singer Majida Roumi an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Republic.

Roumi’s honoring comes in line with the embassy considering the Lebanese diva an ambassador for peace and an “example of high nationalism”.

In response, Roumi said that she accepts this “great honor with pride”, adding that France has always been and will continue to be a source of inspiration to her as an example for freedom and equality.
