Muslim Scholars support the Grand Mufti's Fatwa regarding civil marriage

Muslim Scholars in Lebanon expressed on Tuesday their full support to the "legitimate Fatwa" issued by the Grand Mufti Mohammad Rashid Qabbani which stipulates that "every Muslim official who agrees on adopting civil marriage in Lebanon is an apostate".

The Muslim Scholars called on all concerned parties to stop negotiating this issue because such discussions are breaching religious privacy and insulting beliefs, threatening the very fabric of coexistence.
