Aoun: The memorandum of understanding with Hezbollah changed the course of events in Lebanon

Following his meeting with a delegation from Hezbollah on the occasion of the 7th anniversary for signing the memorandum of understating with Hezbollah, Head of the Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Aoun said that this event was historical and it changed the course of events in Lebanon and the Middle East.

"We are proud of this understanding and we hope that other Lebanese parties would join us in it," MP Aoun said.

Aoun expressed his sorrow since this MOU was misunderstood since the beginning with some calling it a "Maronite-Shiite understanding against the Sunnis".

In this context, Aoun reiterated his stance regarding this understanding and said that it is based on good intentions and does not bear hatred to anyone.
