LAF increase readiness in Bekaa to ensure safety of Syrian trucks

After the attack in Tripoli which targeted Syrian trucks carrying fuel Monday overnight in an attempt to stop them from arriving into Syria, the Lebanese Army raised readiness in the Bekaa area to ensure the safety of the trucks taking the international road of Daher Al-Baidar towards the border region of Masnaa.

The trucks were obliged to park on the side of the road during the night only to depart from Taanayel in the morning accompanied by LAF patrols.

In this context, the Beddawi residents stopped several trucks on their way to the northern Lebanese-Syrian borders.

This as, the Energy Ministry issued a statement in which it denied exporting fuel oil to Syria, stressing that a private company is sending the fuel instead.
