Nahas: A decree on wage adjustment will be issued soon

The minister of Labor Charbel Nahas said that his ministry is currently working on a draft law regarding the wage adjustments plan and will be discussed in the cabinet next week according to regulatory rules, adding that the decree will be issued in a detailed text to prevent any appeal against it.

Nahas after meeting a delegation from the General Confederation of Lebanese Workers headed by Ghassan Ghosn said he voted against the previous decree in the cabinet as it was “full of mistakes”, pointing out that all previous mistakes are corrected in the new decree.

On the other hand, the head of the CGTL Ghassan Ghosn expressed his reservations over the cabinet’s decision regarding the wage adjustment law issued last week, calling on the concerned authorities to clearly review it.
