Health Minister calls on hospitals to receive patients as per usual

Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil said on Tuesday that the Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi assured that he will sign a decree to pay the expenses of the hospitals "as soon as possible".

In this context, Minister Khalil called on hospitals to receive patients normally.

On Monday, Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil announced that hospitals will cease to admit patients at the expense of the Public Health Ministry as of Wednesday, February 20th, and until further notice.

The Ministry's statement explained that the decision is related to the postponement of endorsing a decree that allocates hospitalization credits to private and governmental hospitals.
