REPORT: Adoptions in Lebanon, a long and complicated journey

The case of the newborn, “Farah”, who was abandoned by her parents and taken to a hospital, has garnered much sympathy from the public with several couples expressing their desire to adopt her. However this story may just not have a happy ending.

This report will examine Farah’s situation and the complications that challenge the adoption process in Lebanon.
