Islamic Group leader Ali Al-Hajj killed in Israeli airstrike on Western Bekaa

According to the newspaper Al-Joumhouria, Ali Al-Hajj, a senior leader of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting his home in the town of Rafid, located in the Western Bekaa region early Saturday.

The Bekaa region has been under heavy bombardment after Israel launched a series of attacks on several villages and towns in Lebanon, including Beirut's southern suburbs, with its army invading South Lebanon.
