Macron stresses to PM Mikati urgent need for ceasefire in Lebanon

During a conversation with Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the French presidency announced that President Emmanuel Macron stressed the "utmost urgency" of reaching a ceasefire in Lebanon without delay.

In a separate phone call, Macron urged Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to support "de-escalation across the region," according to the presidential office.
