12-year-old Issa Zaatiti injured in Tripoli’s incidents

12-year-old Issa Zaatiti was injured on Thursday by a stray bullet near al-Zahra hospital in the area of Abi Samra in Tripoli, and was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a surgery.

Earlier, the Lebanese Army undertook intensive and unprecedented security measures in the city of Tripoli, as well as numerous raid operations in Bab al-Tebbaneh and Jabal Mohsen, adding that the blasts and gunfire that erupted last night are taking place intermittently.

Sources told LBCI that Prime Minister Najib Mikati telephoned the Arab Democratic Party leader Refaat Eid and discussed Tripoli’s incidents, noting that Eid held PM Mikati responsible for those attacks.

On another note, the Lebanese Armed Forces General Command announced that it raided several areas in the Northern city, arresting Jihad Dandachi, one of the key suspects in shooting a military man in Tripoli.

In addition, the LAF Command stressed that investigations were launched and the Army is keen on arresting those involved in the city's unrest.
