Minister Abboud to LBCI: Construction permit in Lebanon is the most expensive in the world

Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud asserted via Nharkom Said on LBCI Friday that amending the TVA is not acceptable since it affects all Lebanese factions.

Abboud slammed the tax increase on luxury goods, including food and cars.

He pointed out that Lebanon's construction permit is the most expensive in the entire world, noting that school tuition fees will also be subject to an increase.

His comments come after ministers approved a wage hike following weeks of nationwide protests launched by the Union Coordination Committee.
