Gemayel to Nharkom Said: We stopped Tarshish lines

Senior Kataeb Party member MP Sami Gemayel said that Hezbollah’s telecommunication lines in Tarshish are a start for a series of breaches in the country either on the political or judicial level, adding that the reaction of several political figures on Sunday forced the government to take firm stances on that issue.

Gemayel in an interview to Nharkom Said on LBCI TV said that “If we didn’t take any action yesterday [Sunday] to force the government to pressure Hezbollah in order to halt the establishment of the communication lines no one would have said anything about it”.

Asked on the Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel’s stance towards the issue Gemayel said “I collaborate with the minister on daily basis especially in similar cases, I’m in the parliament to facilitate pending issues and not to complicate them”.
