Future bloc leader Siniora: The government’s resignation opened new horizons

Future bloc leader Fouad Siniora stressed on Sunday that the resignation of the government has opened new horizons which could lead to the resumption of dialogue, noting that the decisions to be taken within the confines of dialogue should not be ink on paper.

In this context, the Future bloc leader pointed out that the outgoing Prime Minister should have left office long time ago due to the ‘wrong practices’ that were committed under his government at the political, diplomatic, national, economic and security levels.

When asked about a potential extended mandate of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) Major General Ashraf Rifi, MP Siniora said: “The security apparatuses are tasked, as per the law, with standing against anyone trying to destabilize the country and their tireless efforts paid off”.
