MP Dib: The Orthodox gathering’s law ensures the Christian representation

Change and Reform bloc MP Hekmat Dib said on Saturday that Speaker Nabih Berri will not hold a General Authority session if one community is not represented adding that the latter is working for the interest of coexistence.

MP Dib told LBCI during Nharkom Said that their aim is ratifying the Orthodox Gathering’s electoral law in order to fix the imbalance in the Christian representation pointing out that there is a Christian consensus in regards to this law.

In this context, MP Dib called on the Kataeb Party and the Lebanese Forces to adhere to the Orthodox Gathering’s draft law since their allies had previously violated the Christian rights.

As for the issue of the Cabinet, MP Dib said that the Change and Reform Bloc did not discuss the name of the new prime minister yet.
