Fletcher: I believe cabinet will wisely decide the fate of STL

British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher underscored the importance of Lebanon’s commitment to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) following his meeting with PM Najib Mikati in the Grand Serail.

“I strongly believe that wisdom will prevail and that Lebanese leaders will make the decision that fits Lebanon’s best interest; rather than that of the international community”, Fletcher said.

Fletcher added that British PM David Cameron will meet with PM Mikati on November 7.

“The meeting between the two counterparts will be an opportunity to discuss Britain’s way to assist Lebanon in its quest to maintain stability during this hard period”, Fletcher said.
