Change and Reform bloc nominates MP Tammam Salam as Prime Minister

Following an extraordinary meeting for the Change and Reform Bloc Friday, MP Michel Aoun said the bloc had agreed on nominating MP Tammam Salam as the new Prime Minister.

"Our choice is maintaining national unity and stability in Lebanon," MP Aoun said.

In response to a question, MP Aoun said that he is not boycotting the parliamentary consultations because of a personal stance against President Michel Sleiman, but "because he is free to do so".
