MP Samy Gemayel from Bikfaya: Elections are normal, but real democracy must return

Speaking from Bikfaya on Sunday, MP Samy Gemayel said holding elections is a normal part of political life, but emphasized the need to restore genuine democratic practices in Lebanon.

“Elections are a normal process, but what matters most is returning to proper democratic life,” he said.

Gemayel also commented on the electoral system, noting that his party had proposed a proportional representation model, which was not adopted.
