MP Youssef calls for sentencing Sehnaoui to jail

Future Movement's MP Ghazi Youssef slammed on Wednesday Caretaker Telecommunications Minister Nicholas Sehnaoui, noting that the latter "is committing acts of fraud by issuing decisions that violate the Lebanese constitution, laws and decrees".

In the details, MP Youssef pointed out that "Sehnaoui has signed a document that gives millions of dollars for private companies owned by people close to the political movements that made of Sehnaoui a Minister of Telecommunications".

In this regard, Youssef said that "Sehnaoui went beyond his prerogatives", adding that he violated the legislative decree 59/126 stipulating that radio stations should be granted licenses under a decree issued by the cabinet.

Accordingly, MP Youssef called for sentencing Sehnaoui to jail should the Minister refuse to backtrack his decisions.
