President Sleiman: To spare Lebanon an international and regional crisis

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Thursday that it is time for Lebanon to recover its historical right by claiming the United Nations Security Council to declare Beirut "the city of Justice"

President Sleiman's remarks came during a speech addressed at Saint Joseph University on the occasion of the centenary of the Faculty of Law's foundation on Thursday evening.

President Sleiman added that peace and democracy in the Middle East region would be established through restoring democracy in Palestine.

He also reiterated the necessity of Lebanon abiding by the dissociation policy to spare the country further havoc.

Sleiman then called on the Lebanese leaders to cooperate in order to implement the principles of the Baabda Declaration.
