After Sea Lion, Golden Owls, Egyptian Goose makes an appearance in Lebanon's south

An Egyptian Goose was spotted on Wednesday in the town of Mayfadoun in the vicinity of Nabatieh, more precisely in the garden of the house of Jaber Jaber.

In the details, the goose was suffering a shoulder injury but was provided treatment by Veteran Wissam Qubaysi who identified the bird as an Egyptian Goose that probably came from Palestine, noting that it feeds on worms and is barely common to Lebanon’s life.

On May 2, Workers in Hiram Hospital were surprised to spot four golden owls in the hospital’s garden in Tyre, noting that this kind of bird is uncommon to the country’s wildlife.

A couple of weeks back, corniche goers on Lebanon's southern beaches found, for the first time in Tyre, a sea lion also uncommon to the country's marine life.

According to some experts, the aforementioned species are coming to Lebanon due to climate change since this phenomenon has a significant direct effect on animals.
