Commander Kahwaji: Lebanon stands at a dangerous crossroads

           
The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Jean Kahwaji said on Wednesday that “Lebanon is standing at a ‘dangerous’ crossroads”, holding some Lebanese and regional parties responsible for the latest developments and the deterioration of the Lebanese internal situation.            

LAF Commander Kahwaji stressed, on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the Resistance and Liberation Day, the need to exert efforts in order to hold dialogue and put an end to havoc across the Lebanese territories.            

Kahwaji added that the LAF work in favor of all Lebanese areas, sects and parties, under the condition of respecting the law, constitution as well as national and religious principles.             

In this regard, LAF Commander stressed that the “Lebanese army stands ready to respond to any Israeli attack that targets Lebanon and which compromises the UN Security Council Resolution 1701”, noting that the “the army will no longer sit idly by in regards to the attacks perpetrated against its members or against Lebanon”.
